Michael B. Harper: Owner/Auctioneer/Broker-in-Charge
Mike Harper has 32 years of experience in the real estate and auction world,
having sold property as an IRS Property Appraisal & Liquidation Specialist
throughout the eastern U.S. as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mike holds a BA in History and Social Sciences from UNC-Greensboro. Born and
raised in Clemmons NC, Mike has lived in Mt. Pleasant SC since 1993, and is a
licensed Real Estate Broker and licensed Auctioneer in both his home state of
North Carolina, and his adopted home state of South Carolina. He is also a
Certified Real Estate Instructor. In addition to being a Real Estate Specialist, Mike
also has vast experience in Business Liquidations, Heavy Equipment Sales and
Classic/Collectible Automobiles.
Mike was honored in 2005 as the National IRS Collection Specialist of the Year
Beverly P. Harper: Owner/eBay Specialist/Real Estate Agent
Beverly is the other half of Harper Auction and Realty. Beverly has supported Mike
in his love of the Auction Trade, and encouraged him in establishing his own
Auction and Realty business. Beverly holds a BA in Clothing & Textiles from
UNC-Greensboro, and holds a SC Real Estate License (Inactive Status) Beverly is
an accomplished E-Bay seller, concentrating in China and Silverware. She will be
lending a hand as needed to Mike in his endeavors..
Linda Page: Auctioneer/ Real Estate Agent / Estate Specialist / GPPA (Personal
Property Appraiser)
Linda has been in the antique business and around Auctions all of her life. She is
the owner of the Low Country legendary "Page's Thieves Market" in Mt Pleasant,
and has been an Auctioneer for over 15 years. She holds her own personal
property and estate auctions most Saturdays at the Page's barn, and also is a NAA
Graduate Personal Property Appraiser. Linda holds a real estate sales license
and her estate experience makes the real estate partnership with us work well for
everyone. We can now offer one-stop service for the estate executor who needs
both real estate and personal property Auction Services. (That's Linda on the left in
the Auction Team picture)
Andy Parker: Auctioneer / Real Estate Agent
Andy too has been around Auctions and antiques all of his life, being Linda's son
and understudy. Andy is however a force in his own right with skills and
knowledge beyond his years. He has recently become licensed as both an
Auctioneer and a real estate agent and he has hit the ground running as an
integral part of our Auction Team.
Victor "Julio" Avendano / Auctioneer / Real Estate Agent / CAGA (Certified
Appraiser of Personal Property) / Estate Specialist
Julio is actively engaged in auction and retail sales with nineteen years of
experience. Julio, born in Colombia, South America, has lived in the U.S. since he
was five years old and has called Mt. Pleasant his home for 25 years. His
credentials include being a licensed auctioneer since 1995 (eleven years) and a
certified appraiser for personal property since the year 2000 through the Certified
Appraisers Guild of America. He is excited about earning his real estate license
and being part of the Harper Auction and Realty team.
Moon, the Auction Dog / Dog
Moon, the Auction Dog makes friends with bidders, and keeps the bad guys away.
Our Mission / Vision:
We exist to assist sellers in realizing the maximum sales price, at a date certain, at
a reasonable cost. As an Auctioneer/Broker, I am a seller's agent. Our passion is
showing how the Auction Method of selling is superior in every way to traditional
Real Estate Brokerage. My favorite saying is "A traditional Real Estate Broker sets
a price and comes down, while an Auctioneer sets a price and goes up."
We also occasionally will lend our vast experience in the auction world to those
investors interested in purchasing at auction, by representing them as a buyer's
agent. (Not at our own auctions, however.) We NEVER practice dual agency.
We are small, and for a good reason: We like it that way! We are not interested in
dominating the world Real Estate or Auction market. We simply do our little piece
of it ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
